2015 was a pretty big year for the event tech industry, and 2016 is shaping up to be even bigger. For lots of #eventprofs, a new year often sparks change. A time to switch suppliers. Perhaps ramp up your mobile strategy. Or try out the latest technologies on the market. As we all know, the term ‘event technology’ is pretty broad and can apply to a range of platforms, each with a slightly different mix of features and functionality. Everything from registration and logistics, to on-site check in and audience engagement.

Corbin Ball, Event Technology Expert, predicted back in Oct last year that one of the key trends for 2016 would be more face to face events, giving attendees a more focused environment with fewer distractions in today’s multi-tasking world. He pointed out that for buyers it’s a great way to ‘meet vendors of interest – all together in one location, categorised and mapped out for your choosing’.

And we happen to agree.

If you want to find the best software for your events in 2016, set aside one day and attend an event tech conference. There are lots to choose from and each one will have a host of suppliers on-site ready to tell you about their products. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the people behind the products.
