What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you sign up to Qmeeto, we keep personal details on our systems in order to provide you with Qmeeto services. This may include the name, title, email, company, company address, and more. It also includes any information you upload about your events, and information about your attendees or clients.

To allow Qmeeto to provide you with its services, we need to process information that your clients add to registration forms for your event. Invitees/attendees are asked to provide a range of personal data when signing up for an event you create. They can refuse to provide the information, but they may not be able to use Qmeeto or participate in all events.

If you upload images to an event, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Media is retained as long as the event is active on the Qmeeto system. Deleting an event will delete associated media.

Some personal data will be accessible to the organisers of the event on Qmeeto, as specified in our Terms and Conditions of Use.

We use your data in connection with the purpose for which it was provided. We may use your information to help us improve Qmeeto’s content, functionality, and services, or to manage your account and provide support.

All personal data is protected by GDRP.

Cookies

Like most professional websites, Qmeeto.com uses cookies, which are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer, to help us improve your experience of the site.

This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you clear your browser history. You can prevent cookies being set by adjusting the settings on your browser (see your browser Help for how to do this).

Who we share your data with

You can rest assured that under no circumstances will we sell or rent your information out to any third parties, and won’t give out access to your details for marketing purposes.

Organisers of events may have access to their own attendees’ data on their account. Access may be given to our employees on an as-needs basis. In very rare cases, we may share your data with approved contractors and service providers for business-related functions.

We may also share your data if required to do so by law or by government agency, or to protect against legal liability or investigate wrongdoing in relation to Qmeeto’s services.

How long we retain your data

Qmeeto is under a legal obligation to keep certain data for a specified period of time. In addition, the organisation will need to keep personal data for a period of time in order to protect its legitimate interests. Your events and related data are under your control and can be deleted at any time from within your account. Qmeeto backup service will retain deleted events information for 30 days before erasing completely from the Qmeeto system.

Where we store your data

Your personal data is securely stored and kept safe on our servers, which are located in GDPR-compliant countries. However, as no server can ever guarantee to be fully secure, we suggest you only share with us the minimum information that you need to run your event.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we need to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

How long we store your data

We keep your personal/company data for as long as you are customer of Qmeeto. We may have to retain some information for longer as is required for legal, tax or regulatory reasons or business purposes

Children’s information

We do not keep the personal data of children under the age of 13 unless it has been uploaded. If personal details of children need to be uploaded to our system for an event, you must have the permission of the children’s parents and legal guardians.

Change to our Privacy Policy

This privacy policy may change from time to time as we grow our business. If there are significant changes to the policy, we’ll place a notice visibly on our website to let you know.
